Neil C. Shulman is the founding partner of the Firm. Neil’s global practice encompasses the full gamut of the entertainment, media, technology and intellectual property based industries including music, film, TV, fashion, branding, electronic media and gaming.
His clients include multi-platinum and Grammy award winning recording artists, DJs, producers, mixers and songwriters as well as seminal independent artists, record labels, publishing companies, entrepreneurs, start-ups, graphic designers, photographers, comedians, visual artists, illustrators, authors, film makers, restaurateurs, actors, managers, agents, directors, social media influencers, industry executives and production companies.
In our ever evolving digital industry it is crucial to stay one step ahead and think outside of the box. Neil prides himself on this and adding value not only to the careers of his clients but also adding value to their lives. Neil infuses his practical, grassroots and entrepreneurial experience as a record label executive, manager, musician, model (this is humor) and tour manager when guiding, counseling and advising his clients with respect to setting and achieving their goals, all while keeping them sane during the process.
Prior to founding the Firm, Neil was an attorney at the entertainment law firm Roberts, Leibowitz & Hafitz.
When Neil is not modeling he enjoys hockey (Go Wings!), krav maga, kung-fu, listening to all things Wu-Tang and Joe Strummer and spending time with his wife and two sons.

Alex Ploegsma
Partner
Alex Ploegsma is a founding member of the firm. Alex’s international practice covers full spectrum entertainment and media based industries, including but not limited to: music, film and television, branding, electronic media, gaming, sponsorship, and print.
His clients include Grammy winning mixers and producers along with acclaimed award winning recording artists, songwriters, record companies, and publishing companies. He also represents actors, authors, screenwriters, directors, managers, filmmakers, painters, and industry executives among others.
The digital age has created a time where it is necessary to be able to navigate the waters in the ever-changing landscape of the entertainment industry. Alex uses this to his advantage to nurture and guide his client’s careers and lives to go above and beyond the general legal consultation. He uses his years of experience to advise and counsel his clients on how to achieve and elevate their goals, while providing the time and value needed to personalize each client’s needs and desires.
Alex started his career as an attorney at the entertainment law firm Serling Rooks Hunter Mckoy & Worob LLP. Upon leaving Serling Rooks, he worked at Robot of the Century Music Publishing as the General Manager/Director of Business & Legal Affairs, which he then left to establish and maintain his own law practice before becoming a founding partner of the firm.

Benjamin Cline
Counsel
Benjamin Cline is an attorney at Ploegsma & Shulman LLP. His practice is focused primarily on transactional entertainment, corporate and intellectual property matters where he represents, advises, negotiates and drafts a multitude of agreements on behalf of notable musicians, producers, writers, investors, production companies and other related entities in the media industries.
Throughout Ben’s career he has served as counsel to Viacom International Inc, and the Law Office Of David Ehrlich & Associates P.C. Prior to becoming counsel at Ploegsma & Shulman LLP Ben has maintained his own practice.
When not working Mr. Cline is an avid fan Pittsburgh sports and enjoys spending time with his Wife and three daughters.

Jason Barth
Counsel
Jason Barth is counsel to Ploegsma & Shulman LLP. He advises recording artists, producers, songwriters, record labels, publishers and various other clients through a wide range of entertainment and intellectual property transactions.
Jason started his career as a litigator before serving as a transactional attorney at the entertainment law firm Roberts Leibowitz & Hafitz. He currently maintains his own practice.
In his free time, Jason enjoys all things hockey and seeing live music.
